Khaudum Campsite lies hidden away in Namibia’s north-eastern Kavango Region, inside the Khaudum National Park. Rarely visited, very large, extremely wild and with only a rudimentary tourist infrastructure, it could be described as Namibia’s ‘forgotten wilderness’. The camping facilities consist of 6 private campsites of various sizes, each with their own ablution and washing area.
There are two access points to Khaudum National Park. From the south you can enter via the Tsumkwe road. It will take about 5 hours to reach the Khaudum Campsite. From the north, use the Katere road. It will take about 3 hours to reach the Khaudum Campsite. All roads, including the access points, require 4x4 vehicles with high ground clearance, due to heavy, loose sand.
Sikereti Campsite at the south entrance to the park offers four campsites, each with its own private ablution.
Tsumkwe Campsite: Six campsites are adjacent to the lodge. Each with electrical point, water point, braai pit; communal washing and toilet facilities.
Guest to Khaudum National Park need to be fully self-reliant and take enough fuel and water along.
