Khorixas is the ideal stopover between Etosha and the Kunene region and Skeleton Coast Park. The area is an explorer's paradise where guests can visit the land of the Welwitschia Mirabilis at Burnt Mountain, curious stone formations, the petrified forest, ancient rock engravings and experience other unusual geological phenomena.
Damaraland and Khorixas have a slow African rhythm with friendly people and a welcoming environment to all guests visiting the town.
Khorixas is named after the Khori bush growing in the area. The town is very small but necessity’s can be bought at the local supermarket. Petrol/tyers and a car repair shop are also in town.
