Okaukuejo Resort & Campsite, the oldest establishment in Etosha National Park, is located 17 km from the southern entrance. It serves as the administrative hub and houses the Etosha Ecological Institute for park research. The resort features a small grocery shop and fuel station for basic needs.
One of its highlights is the flood-lit waterhole, where a diverse range of wildlife gathers and interacts. Especially during winter, this spectacle begins at dawn and continues throughout the day and night, with animals like black rhinoceros, elephants, and lions often seen drinking together in the early evenings.
Okaukuejo Campsite: Each campsite is equipped with a braai area, a tap, and a power point for your convenience. Shared ablution blocks are also provided. We recommend bringing along a ground sheet for added comfort during your stay.
