This guided full day-tour will take guests from Lüderitz southwards through the desert, stopping at ghost towns where desert sands have built up and attempted to reclaim their land, causing roofs to fall in and walls to crumble. The highlight of the tour is Bogenfels, a massive rock arch that straddles the coastline and sea, comparable to a 20-storey building at an impressive height of 55 metres..

The day tour leads you into the “Sperrgebiet” (forbidden diamond area), where mining activities are still taking place, through breath-taking desert landscapes with an incredible variety of desert plants.

The tour includes a visit to the old “ghost” mining town of Pomona.

No tours on the 25th of December and 1st of January, annually.

Payment Terms

Please note that the full requested payment is due on receipt of the booking invoice to secure room availability if booked within 8 weeks of arrival date. A 50% booking deposit payment is due on bookings made prior to 8 weeks of arrival date with the remainder settlement amount payable 8 weeks before arrival date. Full payment is due on receipt of invoice when booking certain establishments. Payment can be made by electronic bank transfer (EFT) or online-payment with credit card or debit card (MasterCard & VISA). Bank charges are not included in the rates and are for your account.

Cancellation Policy

Activity Cancellations:

All cancellations are subject to a minimum 35% of the total booking amount handling fee.
30 - 0 days before arrival 100% of total booking value
100% of total booking value for non-arrival or no show

Children's Policy

Children 0 to 3 years = 25% of the adult rate / 4 to 12 years = 80% of the adult rate. Children 13 years and older pay the full adult rate.
