Guests will be taken on an unforgettable trip in a well-maintained 5-seater Cessna 210 light aircraft.

Aerial sights of the Sossusvlei and the Sesriem Canyon pose as perfect photo motives. A trained pilot and “aerial” desert guide will show guests breath-taking views of the majestic dune landscape below.

The flights have a duration of 40 minutes, and start and end at the Sossusvlei Lodge. There are no fixed scheduled times for the Cessna Scenic flights and flights take place throughout the day.

Best flight times are however early morning shortly after sunrise or late afternoon just before sunset.

Each flight requires a minimum of 2 passengers with a maximum of 5 passengers. The per person rate depends on the total amount of persons booked on a specific flight. The rate given is the per person rate for a minimum of 5 passengers. Flights are subject to weight and balance allowances. Passengers over 120 kg are regrettably unable to participate.

Important Notes

Keep in mind that flights are weather permitting and if the pilot deems the conditions not favorable, the flight will be cancelled. Rates are subject to change without prior notice should government taxes, fuel prices and other fees increase unexpectedly.

Alternative flight routes within the area are available as well.

Payment Terms

Please note that the full requested payment is due on receipt of the booking invoice to secure room availability if booked within 8 weeks of arrival date. A 50% booking deposit payment is due on bookings made prior to 8 weeks of arrival date with the remainder settlement amount payable 8 weeks before arrival date. Full payment is due on receipt of invoice when booking certain establishments. Payment can be made by electronic bank transfer (EFT) or online-payment with credit card or debit card (MasterCard & VISA). Bank charges are not included in the rates and are for your account.

Cancellation Policy

Activity Cancellations:

All cancellations are subject to a minimum 35% of the total booking amount handling fee.
15 - 11 days before arrival 75% of total booking value
10 - 0 days before arrival 100% of total booking value
100% of total booking value for non-arrival or no show

Children's Policy

Children pay the full adult rate.
