TimBila Nature Reserve Lodges

TimBila Safari Lodge has 12 luxurious tented suites with wood fired hot tubs set on the slope of the Osera mountain. TimBila Private Villa caters for families and groups with a 10 bedroomed luxury villa, and TimBila Camp located at the Omaruru River offers 12 En-suite self-catering tents and 4 luxury private camp sites.

The word “TimBila” means “Song of Nature” and so aptly describes the vision for this 30 000 hectare conservation Mecca. TimBila’s dream was to create a safe space for the human wildlife conflict mitigation animals for which they work so hard to offer a second chance at life. A place where the various saved wildlife can roam free and in harmony with their surroundings. Elephant, Rhino, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild Dogs, Sable, Kudu, Oryx, Impala, Springbok, Giraffe, Hippo, Pangolin, Hyena and Caracal are only some of the species that call TimBila Nature Reserve their home.

TimBila’s mission is to conserve the land, cultures and wildlife of Namibia. They aim to achieve this through encouraging participation, education and scientific research. TimBila Nature Reserve was born out of necessity as the growing need for a conflict free environment for wildlife is ever increasing. At TimBila they offer their guests an opportunity to immerse themselves into these stories of conflict mitigation and hope – to be a part of harboring change for the land, wildlife and people of Namibia.

Sporting the big 4 (no buffalo) TimBila offers guests the ideal African safari with the added benefit of making a difference. There are three self-drive routes at TimBila which you are welcome to use (one is a 4x4 route and two 2x4 routes). Activities such as morning, afternoon and evening game drives, bush walks and animal tracking are also available and bookable directly at the reserve.
