Vingerklip Lodge nestles in a timeless valley where guests are warmly welcomed. One of the most dramatic rock formations in Namibia is the 35 meter high pillar of rock, the Vingerklip or 'Finger of Stone'. It stands proudly above a valley in the ancient landscape known as the Ugab Terraces.
Vingerklip Lodge offers two swimming pools where guests can spend the lazy afternoons. For those who prefer a more luxurious and warmer form of relaxation, the jaccuzi is open to guests at their convenience. Twelve well-appointed, thatched, double accommodation units match the atmosphere of relaxation and tranquillity.
Eagles Nest Restaurant, high above the lodge on the Ugab Terraces, is reachable within 10 minutes walking. Guests have the option to exchange one of the dinners at the lodge for an unforgettable Eagles Nest experience where traditional African cuisine is served at no extra charge. Please note that the Eagles Nest Restaurant is limited to approximately 20 guests and booking is essential. Walking the path up is not recommended for people with walking difficulties. Also note that this restaurant is only accessible via a short mountain walkway and a 25 meter metal staircase. Walking the path up is not recommended for people with walking difficulties.
There are a number of activities offered here at Vingerklip Lodge, from short walks in the reserve, day trips to the dam or surrounding areas. There are several different walking trails around Vingerklip Lodge, both guided and unguided, but nevertheless all walks are well marked and can be done on your own if you prefer to be by yourselves.
